Amazon and Backyard Spiders
Hello my Friends.
Well, I’ve developed a new phobia. It’s the fear of Black Widows and Brown Recluse spiders. A result of two close brushes with the little monsters. I literally brushed one fat mama widow off my arm last week and discovered a recluse nesting under the handle of my trash can. YIKES! (I’ve already been bitten by a widow ten or so years ago and don’t plan on ever repeating that experience.)
On the writing front. I am frantically trying to finish off my most recent edit of “The Pirate’s Daughter..” I know, I know, I’ve done half a dozen since I first published over a year and half ago. Oh, well. I’ll do what ever it takes to make it the best I can.
But, if I am to have any hope of success, the book needs to be easy to find and the best place for that is Amazon. Now, Amazon has a program for new authors. They will feature your e-book for nine weeks at no cost, but only if it is exclusively sold through them. So, I will be taking it off Smashwords, (which does link to Amazon), and removing my In-print work from Blurb. The Blurb POD listing has proved to be too expensive for the average reader. So I don’t see any reason to keep it there.
Over course, the revised edition will be the one I publish on Amazon. Putting my best foot forward, as they say.
Who knows what will come of it, but I’m optimistic. fdakjlkllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll….opps! Sorry. Cat with bird has just entered my room. Bird’s a goner.
Ok. so I’ve been researching spiders. (All part of my new phobia.) And, according to officials there are no Brown Recluse Spiders in So. Cal. However, there are closely related cousins.
So what does that mean, closely related cousins?
Sorry Lady. That’s a White Recluse that just bit you.
Yea, what ever. I’m still freaked out!
Stay tuned for my next post to this blog and I’ll tell you how the TV series came about and update you on my progress. Until then, keep on writing my friends.
